You’ve booked your ticket to Brunei-now get ready for an adventure you can truly feel.

Forget looking through a window. This is your invitation to spend two intense days with a master craftsman, forging the very soul of the rainforest with your own two hands.

Join our Parang Making Workshop, an experience so raw, real, and deeply rooted in Brunei’s culture, it only runs over the weekend.

Saturday & Sunday: Forge Your Legacy

This isn't a tour or a demonstration; it’s a fully hands-on apprenticeship. Across Saturday and Sunday, you will be immersed in the traditional art of the blacksmith:

  • Hands-On Forging: Get directly involved with the fire, the hammer, and the metal. You will personally heat, shape, and forge the steel until the powerful curve of the parang blade is born.

  • Shaping the Handle: Select a piece of local jungle wood and meticulously fit the handle, shaping and finishing the grip to perfectly match your hand.

  • The Final Touch: You will sharpen, polish, and assemble the finished piece, transforming raw materials into a magnificent, functional tool.

When you leave on Sunday evening, you won't just be holding a magnificent machete. You'll be taking home a story made with your own two hands , a powerful, tangible memory of your time in Brunei.

What's Included in Your Weekend:

We handle the details so you can focus entirely on the forge:

  • Your Own Parang: The ultimate takeaway! You get to keep the magnificent, hand-made parang (machete) you crafted with your own effort.

  • Worry-Free Transport: We provide pick-up and drop-off service, complimentary for all locations within Bandar Seri Begawan. If you're staying in another district, just let us know, and we'll arrange transport for a small surcharge.

  • Sustenance: Lunch and refreshments are provided each day to fuel your hard work and keep you going through the intense process.
